Simple Homemade Hummus
Ingredients
1 can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
Juice of ½ lemon
1 small garlic clove
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons cold water
Salt to taste
Optional: ¼ cup tahini
To serve: 1 teaspoon ground paprika or Za’atar
Instructions
Add the chickpeas, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, cold water, and tahini (if using) into a blender.
Blend until smooth and creamy.
Taste and add salt as needed. If the hummus is too thick, add a small splash of cold water and blend again until you reach your desired consistency.
Spoon into a bowl, drizzle with a little olive oil, and finish with paprika or Za’atar on top.
