High-Fibre Blackberry Porridge
The ultimate foraged blackberry porridge.. made from scratch using handpicked wild berries, this vibrant bowl features creamy oats, a hint of honey, and a burst of late-summer flavour. This classic British breakfast is hearty, wholesome, and made in just one pot. It’s delicious served warm or prepped as overnight oats, making it perfect for busy work mornings or a slow weekend brunch.
Ingredients
30-40g rolled oats
1 handful mixed nuts and seeds (I love using pepitas, sunflower seeds and chia seeds)
200ml milk (any type you prefer)
1 handful fresh berries
Instructions
Add the oats, nuts, seeds, ½ the berries and milk to a small saucepan or bowl
Cook on the stove over medium heat for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the the oats are soft and creamy (alternatively, microwave for 1-2 minutes until cooked)
Pour the oats into a bowl
Top with the remaining fresh berries
Enjoy warm
Optional: Add a drizzle of honey or maple syrup if you like a little extra sweetness
